At Smile Travels, we also believe that the best way to empower any community is to provide support for the kids’ education, especially when it comes to the underprivileged ones. Our honourable director believes in the fact that ‘Education is life changing factor for every individual’, and it’s the paramount factor behind the foundation of Smile Travels’ CSR in Education agenda.
Smile Travels supports The Learning Foundation- it’s an initiative started by Mrs. Celine David 10 years ago at her residence in Gurgaon, where she support underprivileged children by providing them with basic education, enhancing their skills, and enabling them to be self-reliant. The company appreciate Mrs. Celina David for this generous effort, and support this foundation by providing them with necessary help to create a sustainable world for underprivileged kids, which help them to improve their sense of self confidence and progress in life. Our director who is also the trustee at The Learning Foundation often visits there, interacts with kids and encourages them to fulfil their dreams leading to a progressive life.
We also care for other communities, and therefore besides The Learning Foundation, we participate in different fundraising activities to help the needy ones, whenever required. All activities rooted under our corporate social responsibility in education based on the knowledge that businesses have a duty to enable all living beings to get a fair share of the planet's resources. Smile Travels take pride in announcing that we are continuously working in this direction to achieve this objective.
Smile Travels has always helped ‘The Learning Foundation’ in organising career counseling programs that encourage kids to have strong ambition in life. During one of such session, our Managing Director Mr. Himanshu Wadhwa come to know about one of the brightest students at NGO, Nisha Girri who wish to peruse her career in medicine. Knowing this, our director step-forward & helped her getting admission at Aakash Institute by partly funding the course fee with Innisfree India. We appreciate Innisfree India for conjoining hands for this noble cause and making our CSR in Education initiative a success.
This year’s 72nd Independence Day Celebration began with a warm welcome by the founder of The Learning Foundation Mrs. Celina David followed by flag hosting ceremony and singing of the National Anthem. Later, a short cultural performance was given by the kids. The event was highly appreciated and enjoyed by all, and at last snacks and sweets were distributed after vote of thanks. It was overwhelming to see kids full of enthusiasm. Every year we get ourselves involved in such kinds of celebrations to make our corporate social responsibility in education a success.
Smile Travels is celebrating its anniversary with The Learning Foundation from past a few years. This initiative was taken to give these underprivileged kids a day full of joy and celebrations. This year also, we commemorated our 18th Anniversary Celebration with these children. On this special occasion, snacks and sweets were distributed, and various fun games were organized. At last, the celebration comes to end with big smiling faces. These kids are very special & their smiling faces sprinkled stardust to make this celebration more special.
Second most awaited day in a kid’s life, other than their birthday, is Children's Day. But, for some children there’s nothing special, as they aren’t aware about it. To let kids’ aware of the Children’s Day and make them feel valued, every year Smile Travels celebrates Children’s Day with The Learning Foundation. The company arranges bus for the kids to take them out for the picnic. It’s part of our CRS in Education programme. Many fun filled activities are organized, gifts & sweets are distributed, and importantly kids are given the opportunity to speak about their ambitions, dreams, and their aspirations in life.
